I’m not sure if I got better or worse last night at dance class with regard to skill but I did enjoy myself more last night than the first. Josh, Nicole, and I ate out at a restaurant yesterday for lunch. I got a Gringa Grande which is basically a quesadilla with meat and cheese in it with guacamole and salsa to dip it in. It’s wasn’t too bad. Today I have class in la manana and then we leave for Tamarindo (the beach) at 1pm. It’s a 5 hour drive. Pretty sure I’m going to surf. Let’s hope I do better than I did in Hawaii J.
I probably won’t post anything until Sunday night since we won’t be back until then from Tamarindo. Interesting fact to know: In Costa Rica, many of the ticos give “catcalls” (look it up if you don’t know what it is) to the girls in the group either by honking their horns, whistling, or something else like that. In fact, a lot of costarricenses use their horns for a lot of things. It’s not really perceived as a negative thing like in the US. A honk might mean something like, don’t turn I’m going to run this red light or don’t go I’m not going to stop at this stop sign. Needless to say, there is a fair bit of honking that takes place in Costa Rica. Since honking can sometimes be a catcall, whenever I hear a honk close to me, I like to think that it’s a catcall for me even though it’s probably for something totally different. It’s just my little way of boosting my self-esteem. Tehee. Now you are educated. You’re welcome.
HONK!!! HONK!!! HONK!!!! HONK!!!!!
